Spring 2017 Manitowish/Flambeau Trip
Author Last Post
The weather just isn't going to comply with my wishes this year. All of next week it is going to be rain, snow, and temps in the 30's, so the trip is on hold for now. I'm the only one going so it's not that bad. I'll let you know when I decide to go.
Darn!
I am planning on putting in on April 29. If anyone would like to go and needs a different date, let me know soonest, please. And remember, if you would like to do part of the trip, I can be any location you wish on whatever date and meet you there.
Has anyone decided to do all or part of this trip? We should start our planning and gear lists.
Tom
Thanks for posting Tom! I would love to do a part of this trip if I am able to. Looking forward to looking in to it :) and will discuss further with you ..... Susan
Wow, this sounds great Tom. Thanks for offering it to PWP!

I am planning to do the Manitowish and Flambeau Rivers this spring, late April or early May, time not set yet. I have done this before, it is a great trip. Flat water with some fun rapids scattered.
Anyone is welcome to go with, either all of the way, or just part. If you think you MIGHT want to go we can plan it together. Maybe it could be a Club Trip. It took 11 days in an 18 foot Alumacraft canoe, kayaks will probably be faster. Plenty of great campsites.
The Google Earth kmz file is attached.
I plan to put in at the CTH B boat landing on High Lake at the top of the Manitowish River, and take out at Flater's Resort at the Flambeau/Chippewa River confluence. 180 miles.
