Want to clarify the dates on the flyer on facebook and that I attached to a previous email regarding the dates of this Superior weekend are incorrect. The dates are Friday July 7 through Sunday July 9.
We currently have 4 registered slots and by my count 6 paddlers.
Can't wait!!

Hey, fellow paddlers of the purest of waters!
I just registered for July 7th Superior Social Paddle Overnight. It's gonna be a really nice trip, with the camping on Lake Superior, the paddling along the shore of the lake, and with the really cool friends I've made since becoming a member of the club. Thanks to Rob and Kathy for offering such an inexpensive and easy way to get on the big lake.
For those members who are maybe a little intimidated by the "big water", take it from me that this is a very safe and non-challenging way to get experience on Lake Superior. We will just be playing along the shore in our water craft. The cool thing is that you can bring any kayak or canoe you want, just as long as you wear your pfd. You don't even need a wet suit. Easy as pie. It's just a social paddle, only on Lake Superior--with camping. Did I mention that it will be on Lake Superior?
The registration fee covers the cost of one camp site. You can share your tent with another person, at no additional fee. So, really, it's only $20 per person--kinda. Win, win, win!
If you are looking to gain more skill and, by extension, better and safer access to Lake Superior and our other trips planned on Gitche Gumee, then you're in luck! I can help you learn and practice your deep-water rescue skills while we're there. This makes it really easy to get your skills checked off if you are looking toward the Rookie Rendezvous, which is coming up at the end of July. Tom and I are co-leading that trip and I, Tom, Kathy, Rob, Jerry, Danielle, and Peter (among others) can get you checked off.
