When we were on the Chippewa River trip recently I mentioned that we should look at a car camping/kayaking trip sometime this fall. Perch Lake and Audie Lake campgrounds in the Blue Hills are both very nice. Audie Lake has lots of bays and islands to explore, Perch Lake is good fishing. Hemlock Lake, Bucks Lake, and Murphy Flowage are also nearby.
Other locations are also good if you have a favorite.
I was thinking of September, the bugs are down and the water is still warm.
Any thoughts?
