Meet at 6:30pm at Tower Ridge County Park. They have a nice warming house with bathrooms and kitchen. Ski trails are groomed nicely for classic or skate skiing -- 2 miles are lit. Snowshoe trails too (bring a headlamp for these!) Maybe bring a snack and a drink for afterward in the chalet. There is a $6 parking fee. Some of us have passes and could carpool to save money.

Open pool session at Gold‘s Gym. Unless prior arrangements have been made to borrow equipment, you will need a CLEAN kayak, pfd, and paddle (skirt is recommended but not required). ALL skill levels welcome. The open pool sessions offer an opportunity to work on various skills from wet exits, re-entry (self and assisted), to rolling. Instruction is not formal, but help is available upon request. This is a "Golden" (pun intended, my apologies) opportunity to advance your skills in a more controlled environment. Please register in advance, we cannot accept cash the day of pool session.

Sounds like the weather gods are turning down the thermostat for this. Due to the low temps and wind chill -- I am not planning to go but will leave the event on the calendar in case anyone hardier than I still wants to.

Sledding, snowshoeing, skiing or ice skating. We had a great time in January! You can rent snowshoes or ice skates. They also have a roaring fire to huddle around when done.
