Good Afternoon Everyone,

Here are the minutes from the last meeting. Unfortunately, I was working again and missed all the fun.

There were 22 people in attendance for the meeting, with 6-7 individuals who paddled the Chippewa. Thanks to Bob for being head chef.

A brief discussion was held regarding the past paddle for the season, consisting of 13 weekend trips and 22 Wednesday evening paddles (April - October 2004). This is a great start for our first season. There was talk of some additional rivers/trips to be scheduled for next year. Places like the Jump River, St. Croix, the Brule, and possibly a camping trip on Superior at Oak Island and for a major trip possible to Isle Royale.

Discussion was held regarding the logo ideas that Jon had presented earlier. There were a number of suggestions and ideas which are to be worked on and brought back up at the next meeting. This will be held on November 10 @ 7 PM at the Lake Hallie Golf Course. This will be our last meeting of the season. We will break until early January when we will hold election for new officers and plan for the 2005 paddling season.

Two new members came on board - Tom James and Tom Varty. Welcome!

Acknowledgement was given to some of the key individuals who helped in getting the club up and going to where it is now. Jon for his tireless work on the website (Jon I need a bill from you for this!) Patty also noted that it was exactly one year ago that she first met Dave Froehlich and discussed the possibility of this club.

This is also Bob Whitcomb's last meeting, he will be leaving at the end of the month for Sitka, Alaska. Time for a major paddling trip!!

Thanks to everyone for an enjoyable paddling season. I'm looking forward to next year already. Take care everyone.
